A stupid question about intake install. I've had mine in for about a year now and everytime friends of mine pop my hood they just say wtf take the funnel out. When I installed It i didnt really give a shit and I left the funnel that brings air to the stock airbox in there. Now the dumb question, this funnel doesnt make a difference being in or not when having a shortram intake correct? You only get around 4hp tops anyways but this couldnt possibly affect the airflow going to the filter can it?

i left my stock funnel in because i was too damn lazy to take it out but imo i think it helps bring the outside air close to the filter instead of takeing the air that circulates around the motor.
i will be taking the funnel out soon and install my frankenstien ram/cold air intake |

I didnt think it would be heavy at all? thought it was just some small plastic piece. From that piece to my filter there is so much room because I got rid of the crappy K&N style my AEM came with. Its an old bad picture but you can see there is like at least 5-6 inches gap between that plastic shit and my filter.

they have cheap intakes on ebay for $35 bucks. just get one of those, I've had the Iceman CAI and AEM short ram and the $35 no brand intakes and they were all the same just that the brand named cost so much yet they are pretty much the same crap IMO.
