im actually pretty easy to please pwr wise with my mods, When i just put in my shortram alone I actually felt a difference. I notice these things, especially when i dont really have all that much money lol...thx for opinion though. I wanna make worthy investments, I think this one will work for me. Ive only heard positive things about DC heads too.

if you like the kinda power the shortram intake gave you then you get get 4-1 headers. i believe they add the same kinda low rpm torque and power whereas 4-2-1 focus on adding power throughout the rpm range, kinda similar to a cold air intake. i think the power gains from the 4-1 will be more noticeable, just like a shortram is more noticeable than a cai (IMO).

dude if you wanna be satisfied turbo your car and stop wasting your money on this little bullshit. By the time u spent your money on this little stuff you could of spent a few hundred more and turbo'd ur car! Im in the process of turboing my car right now, ill post some pics pretty soon to show the process. I learned the hard way though, all these little bolt ons arent gonna do shit for ur sohc. --(Believe me) and I doubt u can fill a difference in power with your short ram

I had the same ones, I was pretty happy with them.

I think when you have alot of pwr like a B18, H22 or turbo in general on any engine you dont realize the increase in Hp therefore having a minimum amount of power and increasing it you feel it a little more. Turbo is out of the question..Id swap before i turbo a Sohc. But a few bolt ons would satsify me meanwhile till im able to afford something else or just till my miles get way up there. I like shortram ??? why. CAI doesn't feel all that different to me to spend $100 or more. I MIGHT go with pulleys still though im 50/50 but AEM makes real good quality parts and I trust it wont screw me in the longrun. Basicly As long as im not constantly running my engine terribly hard I couldnt really see how it could **** up on me later. I'm just gonna keep in mind that my engine bay would be for the track not street and hopefully i wont have any problems with pulleys. Do any fuel parts work such as Fuel pressure regulators and Fuel rails?? I highly doubt it but If anyone can explain the ups and downs or just downs to me??

Hmm, ok... a few things wrong here.

You don't feel the difference enough between short ram and CAI to spend the extra $100 but you're willing to spend $250 or so on pulleys for an even smaller gain?

You don't drive "terribly hard" so you don't have to worry about killing your engine with a pulley kit... if you replace the crankshaft pulley, you don't have to drive hard at all. Just drive your car, and without a dampener on the end of your crank you'll have issues. It doesn't matter how hard you drive it.

Fuel parts won't do anything for you if your engine doesn't need them. You don't need to upgrade your fuel rail unless you start making major mods to your engine. The stock rail flows well enough for the stock engine setup. A fuel pressure regulator will allow you to raise fuel pressure- but why? If you don't have the mods to need it, all you're doing is flooding your engine with extra fuel that you can't burn. This extra fuel gets slung around the engine, and it takes up space that valuable air could be sitting in...air that can be burned with the correct amount of fuel to produce more power.

Get the mods if you need them... don't get them just because they're there. Save your money and get your swap, or put the cash toward a turbo kit.
