It is a 90k service to do a timing belt and water pump.

how much does it cost to get a timing belt replaced anyway? i've never had to, and i've heard all kinda different prices.

Don't go to a dealership! Honestly it's like six to seven hundred dollars! Get a regular mechanic to do it, and if you supply your own belts there is nothing they can markup on you, so labor is usually only around 250-350 depending on the mechanic.

All Honda dealers should charge $600 Flat, This will include all drive belts and timing. IF the dealer is charging you more then you car report them to hondausa. My boy has the pricing book that all honda dealers are supposed to qoute prices from.

hey speaking of timing belts, has anyone heard of the Gude timing belts. im pretty sure thats the name. its red and its supposed to be like 200% stronger than stock in all areas. its like 200 bucks though just for the belt. would it be worth it??

Yeah I have heard of the gude one toda makes one with the same claim. 200% stronger. But the toda one is only 50 bucks.

Toda started making a stronger timing belt because their cams were notorious for snapping them. A snapped timing belt at 9 grand isn't the greatest thing in the world to have happen to an expensive motor.

i procrastinate way too much....bought a timing belt a long time ago and never replaced it..hell i even have the water pump...149K miles.... maybe i should buy some new valves for when i snap the belt? It WILL be done in the next month or so, working 7 days a week (4 8 hour days and 3 14 hour days) its hard to find the time.
