it can also be a clutch incorrectly installed, or gear lube is old. if you are running a stock clutch, then read above posts.

Mine used to pop out of 2nd gear..I took it to honda(was still on warranty) and it was a Bad second gear Fork... u might wanna check that..
Check the tranny's fork

if it grinds gears, thats most likely synchros, popping out of gear is usually the synchros have been out so long that the gears are chewed up.
