Im looking into getting some coilovers in the next month and I origionally wanted to get some skunk 2's. But I came across some Matrix coilovers that are listed at Oreilly's for $152. My question is, do you guys think i should save the cash and go with the Matrix coilovers or go ahead and spend the extra cash for the skunk 2's that would set me back like $300? Or do you guys have another suggestion?

i have heard great things about the skunk2's. but if your getting just coilovers then you can buy the dropzones for like $60 and they do the same thig. thats what i got on mine. and they work great, but still kinda bouncy. im tryin to save up for shocks now. i would just save up for both the shocks and the springs. much smoother ride.

i recommend ground control. they come with eibach springs. my ride is comfortable. if you need new shocks, you may want to look into those too as well if you're going to get coilovers. i have tokico HPs. hope that helps in your search. good luck to ya!

The ground controls seem to be a very nice quality system. Matrix....please....Anyone that makes bling bling shouldnt be trusted to hold your car together.

<-- Ground Control with KYB GR-2 struts. Very very very nice ride with them, I couldn't praise them enough. Get Ground Control, y0!

ground control or skunk2 are both good choices. coilovers are not a place you want to skimp on quality.

Matrix makes bling? Or what about just the Skunk2 Springs and Camber kit? Would I be stupid to not replace the shocks? The skunk2 springs are supposed to lower 2-2.5, and my real concern is if I put 17 inch rims on that itll be too low. I new a guy that got 17's and his rear was to low to put the back rims on. Thats the only reason I really want coilovers. I dont wanna have a problem with rims later. So if I just did the skunk2 springs would I have problems with 16 or 17 inch rims?

I dont believe the size of the rim is the big deal, its the overall size of the tire. Im sure that is what you mean. I wouldnt worry too much. I have a 2.5" drop on my car and my tires fill my wheel well just fine. If shit, all you would need to do is adjust your tire size to make it fit. Matrix makes shit...I was just trying to find another way to put it.

yes, but a 2.5" drop along WITH 17"s and your in for a bumpy ass ride.
smaller wheels with more tire go best with that kind of a drop. im rollin stock, but when i do my suspension i will get smaller wheels. just my opinion.
