It should be a d16z6 if it is the origional motor. When I bought my car over two years ago, it cost me $3600, but it did have some hail damage that needed to be pdr'd. I would say it would still be worth $4000 if the car is in great shape.

YEah it should be,but that does not look like d16,if it is,it has the 1.5 valve cover on it.That looks like my old motor that was in my hatch.I dunno if that is an Ex?Something is fishy.

Does anyone else think the car looks like it's raised up?
Because he put 17's on without lowering it. Most of the time when you put a 17" + rim on a civic it will make it look raised up.

it does look like a d15b7 from the valve cover, but it appears to have the z6 heat shield.

d15b7

It is a d15, after taking a decent look, the spark plugs are on the wrong spot for a sohc vtec. The d16z6 would have the spark plugs on the front of the valve cover and the oil fill up top. Since it is a black valve cover, more than likely the motor came from a 92-93. It also has the a/c tag, but no a/c, there is something definitly fishy about this deal.
