Im looking to buy this car but I dont really know what kind of price to ask for it, and im not really sure what engine is in it...heres a couple pics.

Engine

He says it has some minor problems that need fixed. It has about 129,000 miles on it, so it says. He also said it was an EX, but I dont see any EX on the back and the engine obviously isant a V-Tec. What do you guys think?

Thanx in advance.

well it is definately an ex. also, if that ad is 100% truthful it could be worth something close to 4500 IMO. i'd have to see it in person though. finding a 5th gen coupe that has been well maintained w/ a good body is getting tough.

I have to disagree with ya there bro. I got my 95 coupe ex with 72k on it 1 yr ago for only $5500. 129k is alot of mileage for $4,500. If you plan on swapping the motor just buy a hatch with the same mileage for 2k-3k and have leftover cash to swap. If that is going to be your daily driver I wouldnt hop on that one. Keep your options open. Just my opinion.

just depends on how well taken care the car is. the wheels are somewhat desirable, it has a aftermarket clutch and skunk2 camshaft. xero should find out brand names on the other bolt ons to tally this up accurately. i'd make him an offer for it w/out the wheels & tires, use that money for suspension work.

If i was to sell my car I would consider it my loss with the mods Ive done. Hondas dont carry any more of a value with the mods usually. I would throw $3,500 cash down with the wheels. $3,000 w/o them. Parts are worth money, but when It comes to selling with the parts already on the car....It wouldn't mean crap to me as a buyer. Especially If its just a sohc motor. If that was a teg motor I would think differently.

Doesn't look like the engine bay was painted when they did the rest of the car... Maaco job. Exterior paint looks good. Exhaust looks like ass. Not too fond of the wheels.

From the pics that were there, the body looks to be in good shape, which is hard to find in those years. But there weren't pics from all around the car, so I wouldn't buy it sight unseen.

Does anyone else think the car looks like it's raised up?
