I am not totally familiar with that motor, but from my understanding, it is basically the same thing as a d16z6. Which would mean you can use your stock p28 ecu. You just might have to use a USDM VTEC solenoid if it has the same solenoid as the JDM b-series motors.

I was just wondering where you got your engine from and how much did you pay? cause I was gonna do the same swap.

Ok so if i understand this correctly, the d16z6 currently/was in your 95 civic?Basically aren't they the same motor? SOHC Vtec?
I suppose why i am asking is why swap if they are basically the same?

Well, I dunno bought the other guy but my piston rings are shot and I don't wanna have to go throught the rebuild. I'd rather swap a new engine in with less miles....and it's cool to say it's JDM!!

What??? Does any of that make any sense to anyone?
English and sentence structure OWN!!
SO rebuilding the orig engine is more expensinve than buyng a whole new motor?

In respect of my quote, I don't know how to rebuild an engine. My friends do but will charge me. A swap would take less time and would benefit my situation a lil bit better.

Since you sound new to the "Honda World",don't get complicated and do a ZC swap, just find another d16.
The Zc will be harder to find parts for if you are not sure what to look for.
