Ok
I put these blue turn signal bulbs in my corner lights, and apparently they were the wrong type, my turn signals quit working and also did all kinds of weird things, such as them acting as if my hazards were off. So, I replaced them with the stock bulbs, they work, but now they act like one of them is out, they flash faster than normal, and they dont turn on when i have my lights on, also now my guage lights dont work, and neither do my taillights, although my brake lights work. So are there any wiring geniuses out there that can fix my problem or anyone that has made the same stupid mistake? thanks Mike |

First off check your stock bulbs, when one of them blinks fast it usually means it is out. As far as the other lights, check all of your fuses.More specifically, the tail light/inst.cluster fuse. Also check the fuse marked "back up light". I have a feeling that may be your problem. |

Hey dudes,
It's been for-EVER since I've posted. I hope y'all still accept me in the family! If anyone is kind enough to respond...my friend has been having some electrical problems. I guess he had some turn signals installed into his rearview mirrors a while back. Since then it sounds like he had some sort of short and his tail/brake lights have stopped working. Turn signals are OK, it's just his brake lights. He said he has replaced the fuses for the lights. The only other thing I can think of is that the bulbs themselves are blown. I haven't actually looked at his car yet because he lives across town and he doesn't feel comfortable driving it without the lights working. Kinda makes it tough to do any kind of proper analysis. Anyway, can anyone offer any input??? Very much appreciated in advance... |

Go look at the car and make sure all the bulbs are OEM spec and not blown. Than check all the fuses and make sure the are OK. Than check each problem outlet with a meter for power and if readings change when used for a second function.(brakes, blinkers) If everything checks out than start checking the grounds. That should keep you busy for a while.

yeah...I'm glad these forums have gotten so unfriendly and filled with shitbag flamers. I've been a member of these forums since 2000. They just cleared their server off a year ago or so.
Anyway, thanks lacuna for giving me something to do. |
