Hey..
I was wondering if it is possible to fit the ITR muffler on an EK hatch? any modifcations needed to be done or pictures? To me it seems the muffler is too big but if some out there has done it please let me know!! Thanks Victor (Brisbane, Australia) |

take it to a muffler shop and have them weld up new flanges.. can be done but.. why? wont give you any performance gains or look all that special. Save your money and get a decent after market setup

Yeah no performance gains.. Ive got a magnaflow exhaust on now but the car is slow anywyaz.. No point making it so loud when it doesnt go anywhere.. So this way the tip size is reasonable and well hopefully will look goo when i put a rear lip on it.. Just trying to make it look stock and clean.

I've got a full ITR exhaust on my EK...JDM manifold, cat, b-pipe, and axle back sextion.....I used all of the ITR hangers...I do not like any of the muffler shops around here, so I didn't want them chopping up my exhaust. The three issues I came across were that the b-pipe hangs a little low, you have to come up with your own hanger for the muffler, and you have to trim the tip unless you want it sticking out about 6 inches. I love the way it looks and sounds, inside the car and outside. If you're like me and don't like the look or sound of aftermarket exhausts...I'd say the ITR exhaust is a good choice. You've got the mendrel bends, larger piping diameter, and it flows 12% better than other OEM mufflers. I'll get some pics up for you too...

Hey comutek thanks for the link!
The guy says he has an Si civic. Im from australia and we have different model numbers but is that an Ek hatch? i cant tell from the pictures. Its weird how he says that he wants to extend the tip saying its too short.. when everyone else is saying you need to cut it. Whats going on there? Thanks! |

If you are putting it on a hatchback, you need to cut the tip....if you are putting it on a coupe, it will tuck behind the bumper a little.
