Today I had my slotted/crossdrilled rotors put on along with some new pads. Im hearing 2 diff noises consistantly. One kinda sounds like a train (chuga chuga), and the other is like a clank/raddle. Everything looks fine from what I can see. Do they just need broken in?

Oh and the rotors were put on so that the direction of the holes and slots face forward. Is this right? are they on backwards?

Can you throw up a bit more detail? Are the noises constant, or only when you brake? Any difference in sound when you turn?

When I put my new setup together, for the first two days the brakes would make a scraping sound, which I guess was the new pads sliding on the new rotor. I also wasn't used to the sound of a slotted rotor, because it always cuts away a layer of the pad everytime it passes (microscopic layers- don't change the pad a week later!!!)

Also, I'd like to see a picture of your rotors on the car up close if you could. The direction sounds backwards from how you state it, but they're only going to go on one way.

After seeing your rotors, mine are put on the wrong sides. Im droping my car off before work tommorow at a different place so I can have them swaped and fixed. Oh and yes my noises are all the time. Sounds like somethings loose on the drivers side too.
