Welcome to CL!

I'm sure that answering your questions will bum you out.

But, you asked . . so here I go . . .

The civic model "CX" is basicly as low as you can go on the scrotum poll in the hatchie lineup. It was pretty much introduced as a practicality car. It gets very good fuel economy and has all the power you need . . . if you are a 95 year old man, lol . .
If I remembre right, the d15 engine that's packed in there only throws out like 72hp and like 80ft lb of tq. Bummed yet? If your not . . I'll continue till you are, haha
The engine is pretty much a "throw away"! There isn't very much support for it and teh stuff you find will cost as much as just getting a basic B-series swap in there to snap it up.

I'm not going to slam them too hard being that I'm on my 3rd one! The cx is no doubt a slow poke but it's the cheapest model to pick up and there are endless possabilities out there for it!

look on the bright side . . . you just hooked up with a ride that has more things made for it than any other model out there! Congrads! There are a bunch of hatches rollin' around in here so definately look around and see what everyone els's up to.

Feel free to keep the questions rolling . . that's what we're here for!

Later.

O -

I'v seen some longblock b16 set-ups going anywhere from $500.00 to $1,500.00. Your best bet is to scour the net from company to company and compare prices.
There are a few people here on the board that can get you what you need as well . . . for a great price as well.
As far as boosting power, you've got 3 options.
Nitrous @ $500.00, Turbo @ 1,500.00 + , and Supercharging @ $1,500.00.
Nomatter what you do . . there will be follow up costs.
Nitrous must be re-filed, turbos must be maintained part by part, and supercharging must be monitored as well.
Personally, I'd go with a nice turbo and call it good.
There are also some members here who can give you great advise on that. I'm anot one of them so I'll shut it down now.
You can try checking back posts about turbo questions found in the main forum index. I'm sure there will be some stuff in there that will answer some of the q's that you may have.

Talk to ya later.

Cold air and exhaust on a CX? Ouch... Save up for that B16 or mini me swap. Dont waste ur time...

Im not up to date on my prices so i dunno how much a b16 swap goes for.. last time i check it was somewhere around 2000 bucks

Check out these 2 links.

www.hybridrevolution.com

and

www.allbodykits.com/JDM_Engines.htm

I'm sure both of them should give you the info you're looking for.
Good luck.

Why go mini me when swaping in a Y8 would be a lot stronger, reliable, easyer, and roughly the same price??
