My friend is buying a 2004 Civic Coupe EX Automatic and he was wondering if there is any possibility of turboing it. I own a 3rd gen accord and I know the automatic transmissions are not "strong" enough to handle a turbo, but Im sure thru the years they have found a way around this problem. Any info regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't seen too much information about the 7G automatic transmissions, but I imagine that the situation is the same as before. Just be careful and don't go too crazy when you boost it.

You can definitely turbo that car- people have done it- and I'm sure there's probably a kit or two on the market for it also. Search around- you'd be surprised at what you can find.

you might try searching the FI forum at www.7thgencivic.com - I know there are some turbocharged automatics on their board.

You can do ANYTHING as long as you have the money for it. Personally, i'd tell your friend to forget about it. Honda auto trannies do not hold up well to that kind of abuse.
