I need something to improve the power in my 93 civic cx. I have heard that a head swap is a good way to go for a nice power gain. Does anyone know what kind of swap would work best, if any, and what kind of power would I make. Also what might be the price range for the head and the amount of time this would take to complete.

Thanks for any feedback.

IF you want a power gain for cheap, find a d16z6(92-95 Ex/Si motor) and swap that into your cx.
Cheap, easy to find and will give you a hp gain that you will be looking for.

It sounds like you want to do a "mini me" swap, which i have heard are more trouble than they are worth.

The CX block just isn't worth the money. If you do a swap with the z6 you will be much happier.

and plus... you should be able to find a d16z6 for no more than 600 with all the parts necessary to do the swap.
or just do the first gen b16... its a cheap swap, somewhat.
