If you've got cash to burn, get the GSR, build it, then turbo later. If you want the best bang for the buck, turbo what you've got- then spend a bunch of time and money on good tuning. You could easily break 300whp on a stock B18 with boost if you tune it well.

I could give you some advice on a turbo...but a lot of people on here dont like my idea of a good turbo set up, but ill have at it anyway...my personal preference, and i can get you all the parts to do this, would be forged bottom end, unless you plan on going really high boost id stay with stock sleeves. Get a decent equal length manifold(t3flange)-its not really a necessity, but i like the way they look and when you do decide to go high horsepower youll need something like that, A decent size turbo for your application would be somewhere in the neighborhood of a t3/t04e 50 trim with a .63 ar turbine stage 3 wheel. youll see full boost right around 5000, and on a decent built LS should be able to take the motor right at about 8200.
ok and im gunna stop right now cause i dont know how far you want to go into the motor...let me know how much you wanna spend, and what kinda hp range your lookin for and i can probably help you out. |

Is it worth all the work to tear it out of the car than reinstall and tune a B18c? I'm all for making a couple bucks on the side but remember the extra cost of doing a swap.
