Im having problems with the electrical system on my 95 coupe ex...here it goes....

Get off work...out of nowhere.. no electrical. Got a jump, Took it home and quick charged for 2 1/2 hours. Started fine. Left my girls at 10pm lastnight started fine...THEN I got home and noticed my sunroof half an inch open so I went to shut it and NO ELECTRIC ANYTHING again with a fully charged battery. So I let it sit and comeback this morning to have it start for me!!! So I did a test on it and Im at 17Volts with a 12 Volt battery. Turn on the lights for 30mins and drain it...SO THE BATTERY WAS NEVER DEAD. 5 Mins ago for the hell of it I tryed starting it... NO ELECTRICAL AGAIN... Car was never moved since it started last. So I hit the transmission and wiggled the key in the ignition, Then sure enough it starts. What the Fu*k is going on with my ride?????? FULL BATTERY = No electricity????

Cliffnotes, My ride starts when it fu*kin feels like it. BTW- I have a ViperVX90 paging system alarm if that might be a reasoning for this happening. Thanks for any help guys..please...Clue me in.

have you checked your battery terminals?? maybe some corrosion is the problem
or loose.

could be the alternator... maybe.
get it checked

i dunno what else it could... you said the batt was charged... so i dunno. i doubt it was any faulty wiring in the electrical system.

is it an automatic? maybe the park indicator is worn, and only functions intermittently?

The parking indicator wouldnt let the car start if it was worn?? I never knew that. How can I tell if thats the problem, I take it its nothing visually?

Also, If it was my alternator at all, would a check engine light come on or an alternator light up on my dash?? Id hate to get an alternator and lose $200 to another problem... And I dont really think it can be the alternator if my dash wont even get any electrical activity when this happens.

Plus my damn mechanic is on vacation..

If you have no power at all than it won't be your park indicator. That could stop you from starting your car but you would still have power to the rest of your car. I doubt it's your alternator as well, because your battery wouldn't have been full after driving it.

I cant figure this out.

It crapped out on me after coming out of the mall today. I hit the dash... I hit the transmission, Then I went to go press on the brake and it was extremely hard? I kept pressing it in trying to put it in neutral but I couldnt move it out of gear with the key in....kind of wierd..... Next thing you know I forced in the brake as much as I could and let it go and It Ignited for me after that.

Cliffnotes- Brake was hard as hell
Couldnt take car out of park
Got pissed pressed hard as hell on brake
Car started for me...

Ive never heard of this shit ever happening, There has to be a loose connection somewhere.
