Im going to go out on a limb and say you have a 2000 si? See what code your throwing.
This thread may help you
Code check
If it doesn't, ill try my best to tell you how to check the code.
Turn car off, the ECU should be down by the passenger foot space (covered by a plastic side panel), find a small two prong male plug (maybe blue or orange), undo a paper clip and put one end in each prong, then turn the car to the "on" position (not the start vroom vroom position), your check engine light should blinking.
Very helpful link
Any ways hope something here helps

If you're running a 2000 Si, you'll have a sensor before and after the cat. If you damaged it, it's very possible that your ECU is reading something funny. Check the codes, then look into a replacement if you need it. I recommend Catco and Carsound high flow cats. They flow better than stock, and they're not very expensive. You're over 50k miles anyway, so it's legal for you to replace your car if any shop just says that it's "defective".

I know. its art.
to uncover the ecu you have to remove the plastic panel, that would be near the outside of your right foot if you were sitting in the passengers seat.

Related questions:

1. If one was to remove this secondary O2 sensor, will the ECU go into a 'limp' mode because of the CEL??
2. Or remove cat and insert 'test pipe' , will this actually give you gains from the higher flow?

Thanks imp:" class="inlineimg" />
