The other day I went to Napa Auto and looked into geting a new O2 sensor. The guy there told me they cost $400 dollars for the front and $150 for the back. Does anyone know where I can get one cheaper?

I think bosch makes one for cheaper. look around the web.

You can get universal O2 sensors, but you'll have to cut the harness off your old O2 and solder it to the new one. They are NOT $400.

Yeah they're expensive for what they are, but 400 is too much.

hey this is what i do, if im low on cash and i need to get something fixed for cheep id go to the junkyard and find the same car or a newwer modle and pull some off then go buy what your really need is a wide band o2 but the junk yard is where to go im not sure were your from but in the co we have junkyards that we can go to and pull our own parts

i have the front one, its a bosch that I had on my civic until I totalled it, I would sell it to you for 50 shipped priority mail

It is a rip-off, but you are pretty much screwed. There are challenges with getting any component of an emissions control system from a salvage yard. Most won't sell emissions control components because it is illegal.

I just bought a replacement engine for my 96 HX (VTEC-e). It came with with both O2 sensors (primary and secondary).

I had to pay $400 dollars for the aftermarket Bosch primary sensor a couple of years back. I found out that it wasn't any more expensive for the OEM Honda part with my 20% discount.

Sometimes life just isn't fair...

its not illegal to sell emission control components. i buy them all the time. the only thing thats illegal to sell used that i know of is catalytic converters.

ngk is also supposed to me pretty good 02sensors for cheaper i beleive. i gotta check
