well my z6 has about 112,xxx on it now. I went to the drags this past weekend and helped all the friends out, but sidelined and filmed that was it.

Im going back in Aug and the current mods are a cai, Evo exhaust, and 4-1 header. Im planning on the swap soon enough, but wanna go get a time before I do so. My question is Would a upgraded intake manifold, and fuel rail combo help at all?

Im stripping the car bare interior wise, and I can get these parts for prolly under $200 if my hookup comes thru. Thoughts?

If I was upgrading from a B16 I'd probably do so being there would be more resale value, But there is already minimal damage to the the crankshaft. Nothing really bad though, I just figured I might enjoy my last year - year and half with the motor thats still in there.

If your going to have it as long as a year, I say go for it what's another 2 bills. You can always strip the Z6 down when you get the B16 and use the money on new parts. But I doubt that you would see much of a gain from it. I think a cam would net you more hp for the dollar. Although if your cracking the head open your in for a whole new list of parts. So I'm changing my vote to, save your $$$. Side note, not much of an upgrade from a Z6 to a B16 unless your getting an ITR. Why not go with the B18, or turbo the D?

oh no, I was using the B16 as a selling point being more valued than a D series. A B16B is questionable, but the time is not near yet.As far as Cams go that would be Ideal however I dont want to get to wrapped up in this thing.

If I can even take a half a second off the car by doing this, Im more than willing.. Its more for going out having a good time at the track.

I'll be much more competative when I swap.

i say just save your money for the swap. those two parts alone aren't gonna change much.

Any other Ideas besides saving my money? Im not really looking for reasons to dump more cash on a D series, I just want to make sure I took every possible step I could in getting my car prepared.
