my vx has 6" in the front. and if i want them in the back, i gotta make something to go in the little slots on the side.

i bought 6.5's and they were too freakin big. :P

hey guys you know what a good way to find out stock speaker sizes is? go into ebay and find an auction for any pair of speakers and then check for conmpaitability. wether they fit your car or not it wont matter but itll give you the sizes for both front and back after you put the data in for your car.

which isn't always right.

Crutchfield said I had 6.5s all the way around. I opened up my trunk and looked at my rears and saw Blaupunkt 6x9s sittin there.

still think the original size is the 6 1/2, as those arent stock, and was probably cut to fit. still need to check my 4dr and see whats in there since i finally got it back.

no, 2000si...your stock rear speaker sizes are indeed 6x9. all 6th gen models are 6.5s in the front and 6x9 in the rear.

yes that is correct size for a 6th gen... however, i have 2 sets of aftermarket speakers.. alpine 6.5s and another set of 6.5s... both will need mods done to fit in the 6th gen front doors. have to make the hole in the door a tad wider all around. and cut out the backplate in the speaker housing so the magnet will fit in.
