Default Welcome to the New-Look CivicLand

Hi,

You may have noticed that CivicLand has changed. We've gone through a bit of an evolution in the last couple of weeks and decided it was time that the site had a bit of a revamp.

The major change is that the forum has been moved to VBulletin. I think most forum owners would agree that this is the defacto forum software. Hopefully most things came over OK, but if not then drop me a PM.

Other than that, we'll have a couple of minor changes in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

Cheers.

Ian

Personality is on it's way. First step was getting the boards moved over and making sure people could log in.

Default Good Move!

Good move from Invision. Invision is inferior and has too many security issues. vBulletin has many more features, plugins and is overall a better platform.

Welcome as the new owner! Good luck with the site. You're now the 4th owner I've been through with this site since 2001...

Does what work? Uploading photo's? I've never tried.

What were you trying to upload and I'll have a look?

Talking posting pictures

I like the new look of the site too.

O.kay, now on to the business @ hand...
Just to help clarify the photo issue for the site, read below:

you have three options when posting pictures on the site

1. first option is to click the icon in the tool bar and paste your picture's URL in the pop-up box in the space provided.

2. your second option to upload photos is to use this format:

3. lastly even if you type in the format (given above) manually and paste your picture's URL in between the , it'll still work.

and, in conclusion, when you follow those fail-proof instruction, one of these should magically appear on your post...a picture happy posting.
