does anyone know how to adjust stock blinker(turn signals) to hyper blinker?
I tried to find it under Do-It-Yourself section in the site but the link didn't work. I know it's something to do with resistor or capacitor but I'm not quite sure. I would appreciate anyone's help. |

1. Remove your stock flasher unit
2. Open it up 3. Replace 100 kOhm resistor with a rheostat that ranges from 50kOhm to 200kOhm or something 4. Reassemble Twist the knob to vary blinker speed. Easy. |

Thanks for the help.
But where is the Flasher Unit located? And where can I get those resistors that ranges from 50k-200k? Radioshack? |

You can do the one bulb trick but you'll only get quick turn cignals.
If you throw on the 4-ways, they'll still flash slow. You'll have to change the resistance in the flasher to get the full effect. That way, you can hit the 4-ways and quick flash people as well. |

In my EK civic, the flasher unit was in the fuse box under the stearging wheel. I love having fast blinkers!
I have adjustable ones with LED turn signals for front and back. They go sooo fast. Fast as a strobe light, then in a split second I can turn them back to normal, then back to fast, then to medium, etc. Nobody in my town has that, I dont think. I did it last July on my civic when it was all stock. Must have been funny seeing some dudes stock car's blinker tweak out!! ![]() |
