ok i know this may sound stupid and stuff but hey ask questions is what i say, ok ive got a 1993 honda civic cx with the d15b8, its a canadian model, i can get a ex motor d16z6 95 i think, it has everything motor, tranny, axle, ecu, and wire harness for engine, was wondering if this is plug and play or do i still need to do some wiring, i know 92 came with vtec wiring from factory from what i tried to find out , some people say some 93 from canada may have it may not. im just looking to see about this swap any write ups or info anywhere, basically straight foward, pull mine out and drop other one in how much if any do i need to wire, for the o2 sensor i figure 1 wire to 4 wire, so do i have to get the connector portion to the wire iinto rest of harness?just wanted to know if anything out there, have looked but nobody has straight forward answers, or any type of how-to's, if anybody can help out wouuld be great thanx

For any swap I would recommend getting any and all possible parts off the donor car for simplicities sake.

This includes:

Motor
Tranny
Axles
ECU
Harness
Shift linkage

If you dont have the harness/ECU finding an unmolested one These days may be a little harder with all the ECU chips going around these days but search spend the extra time and money and buy them. Then it should be plug and play. If you really wanted to you could go ahead and modify your wiring harness for Vtec also...but its just added work...Just more stuff in the way that you could possibly fuck up.
