They are illegal. Go with a Catz kit if you can find one- otherwise I would stay away.

not worth it for the cheapy kits. yeah they are illegal like he said, but besides that, WHEN it breaks youll be SOL looking for parts. retro-fit some bmw or audi HID's into some civic projectors. theres lots of articles on the web on how to do it. and its way better imo.

Do you have to have "projectors" to retro-fit them in? Because I was going to try to make some DIY CTR lookalike headlights, with DIY halos, and put a HID kit in it... Would that work?

Also, I dont know what exactly to look for in a kit, but I found one on ebay that seems like it might be what Im looking for...
HID kit
Is this a good one that would fit my needs?

He's talking about mounting true HID projectors from a BMW, Audi or some other factory HID projector equipped car- not taking projector headlights that had incandescant bulbs in them and then mounting an HID kit inside. An HID kit inside a non-HID housing will still throw glare in odd spots and give you a funny beam pattern.. You don't want to do that.

what he said! should cost you around 350-400 depending, for the entire set up. then you can open up your CTR lookalikes, cut the hole where the headlight goes open quite a bit, and mount them in there. there are tons of articles on how to do it all over the web, you just have to look. way too much info to type on how to do it correctly.
