I was at work tonight and decided I wanted to pull the Si off my trunk lid, so I did so.

But I don't want to pull the other emblems off yet, I need toknow if they're simply held on with glue like the Si badge was, or if there's any knobs that go into the body itself? I pulled the Ford logo off my escort and then realized it had two knobs that stuck into the body itself, which I then bondo'd in and repainted. I don't want to pull them off if they've got knobs on them.

Do they?

If it's an ek i think the honda emblem is the only one
with two holes in the body behind it, thats why i left
mine on.

So I would be able to pull the Civic badge off with no problem?

I can deal with the H emblem still on, I might just paint it flat black.

Yup, the only thing holding the civic badge is some glue.

haha I love my car, I just don't want it to look like an Si. Going to HT and seeing "SI STOLEN!!!" every 10 threads is scary to me.

I decided to keep and turbo the B16. 7ish psi 75-100 hp gain. After getting my ass handed to me by a BMW I dropped the LS/VTEC idea.

I need to find away to take the DOHC VTEC stickers off too, will they come off with floss? I know some people said they're under the wax and some have said they took it off with no problems.

Yeah Keepin the motor is a good Idea.. and yeah Si's get stolen like freakin Kool aid and snickers in the ghetto. As far as the sticker and badge removal the tools typical to use would be..

Hair dryer
Adhesive/bug & tar removal.. anything clearcoat safe.
A wet towel

ok my thoughts, as you already know, the honda badge is the only badge bolted on(debadged mine a month ago), I wouldnt buy an si if I was going to swap the engine in my eyes the b16 makes the SI, if you wanted to swap, id get a 99-00ex shell, and do the swap then. Ls/turbo is deffinatly a sick setup. But if I were you I would build the internals of your b16, and boost on that. It's a strong motor, with tons of potential. But yes it is scarry hearing about all the civics getting stollen. Just get a highend security system one that has a pager, and maybe some good features if someone tries to steal your car. And yes get 3m, that shit works 100x better than goo-gone tried it to get my badge glue off didnt really work. 3m kicks ass.
