Its not really that hard, this is how I did it a long time ago.
  • Take headlights off
  • Get a hairdryer and heat up the sealant that keeps the clear plastic and the other (gray plastic together)
  • CAREFULLY separate the clips with a screwdriver, be careful if they break then youll have problems with condensation
  • Take the headlight apart
  • Use a flat/high temp paint it works better than regular spray paint or so I hear. I used krylon enamel and didnt have problems at all for over 2 years.
  • Use even and multiple coats, be patient and it will pay off
  • let them dry, prefferably ona nice and hot day and out in the sun
  • put them back together, I had a a bit of a problem getting the sealant to work properly again, I ended up getting condensation, so I used Silicon or clear bathroon caulk (sp?) to finish off the sealing
  • whatever you do let them dry out for at least a hot after noon and outside.
  • Youre done!
I did this on my old sedan on white (i know rice lol) but i did this back in '99! I took the little yellow reflector off, but since you have a 2000 I dont know if you can mask off the small yellow square reflector, I had a friend that just pained over it and it looked like shit, but i hav seen others with the yellow reflector left intact and they looked pretty good!

hope this helps.

PS: make sure you have a spare set in case you dont like the look.

My friend bought replicas for $50 used..lol You should just check out TYC's. If you have Halo's w/o HID's thats just gay. If you want some decent lighting find a good clean set of projectors. I get 2X the light I used to get with my halos, its a big difference.

I do like the CTR look though. So you can always do the DIY and slap a set of HID's in it and your HOOKED UP!

anytime you are opening headlights/tails it isn't that it is hard, it is that it takes a little patience and attention to detail.

a hair dryer take a long time. You should use a heat gun or put it in the oven.
