First off sup everyone? Try to stop by and look around when get time which seems to be very rarely. Dang Uncle Sam and Sandstorms
But anyhow. I already have a 93 civic coupe with shaved handles and door poppers. I want to install lambo door kit, but I am curious how strong are average shocks that come in kits? If I was just to pop doors open would they open fully? Does anyone have experience with this?
Anyone have suggestion to get a decent kit and just work from there.Should I get one gas shock or 2 kit? Are the ones on ebay for like $500 worth even lookin at? Hell if someone had dimensions of hinges I can just have them made. Either way I still have 6 months in this god forsaken country so if anyone can help plz do so.

Thanks for any help given(GO USA!)

oh for the love of god, and your car please dont do it. These kits are built to last quite a while i assume, but of course like anything aftermarket there is always room for error. The shocks they use are heavy dudy and all but I cant see the kit lasting to long on a daily driver.

Nobody on here has them but you could find someone im sure on cardomain.com you can PM.

I hardly drive it. Only if it is raining or really cold. My daily is GSX 1300R. I just don't want my freakin door falling off b/c of crapy hinge. I am already planing on reinforcing mounts...

Around here? Prob not.

That type of stuff is not a big hit here.

Personally Lambo doors belong on a Lamborghini, just like Altezza lights belong on an Altezza/Lexus Is300.

agreed lambo doors arent really a big hit here. seems like were more about the stock look with something not so stock under the hood here.

Too bad I havent justified that myself lol..all eye candy here, but the best thing you can do is get a warranty on whatever kit you plan on purchasing. I would think new hinges would have to be done for this but im probably wrong.

I never researched these sorts of things before.

no it will not cost you 10g to get these lol
tell your friend* he is full of caca

The more popular kits (non ebay) should run you about 1k AT MOST!! but you can find them for sale somewhat cheaper on places like groupbuycenter.com (if it is still open)

and yes most peope here dont like eye candy, people here are rather opinionated at times, but if you want them, then get them and show us the final product! as far as enbay goes... I would put that much money into a business in there, not all vendors there are crap but IMO its not worth the risk!

good luck, and like I said: If you get the kit post pics! i'd be interested to see them on.[/b]
