I was talkin to a friend of mine, and he said if you want to be safe, you should put a temp gauge on the in the exhaust somewhere (closer to the headers im sure). Anyway, his information was that you will be able to tell quicker if your engine temp is too high from that sensor rather than a oil or water sensor. If this is true, where exactly would be a good place to put one?

First you don't have a header when you go boost.
Second EGT should be put right into the exhust mainfold.

you put the egt before the turbo but after the block. on the manifold. counting from left to right. you want to put it on the 3 one for the best readings. cuz you have the intake senser on the same one, just on the intake manifold.
