just like the topic description. the shop that did my swap said that they would charge me approx. $3800 to boost my car. the Drag Gen III kit, plus labor, plus hondata and anything else required. they will ofcourse tune the car on a dyno for me. but honestly, is this a decent price?? i dont care that the T3/T4 may have some lag, as long as it makes up for it in the upper rpm's. how much power can a stock B16 make safely? i have read somewhere around 7-8psi daily driven, is this true? i have also read that this should put me between 250-280 horse to the wheels? is this accurate, or am i getting excited for no reason? and could i break into the 12's on street tires with this set up? i would like nothing more than to race some fatass in a corvette, and win. thats my newest goal in life. let me know if i should stop chasing dreams and just become a bum.. 'cause i'll do it.

8psi should put you in the 220-240 whp range. I don't think it'll be enough for 12's.

Check out http://www.importreview.com/dyno.html
There's turbo dynos in there, you'll see a variety of boost levels on b16 turbos and see a variety of results.

Yeah but he'll feel better doing it in a 4 cylinder....I know i would.
Don't get me wrong, if you want muscle go with domestic,(old school domestic at that would be classier) but there's more of a feeling of accomplishment when it is done in as economy car!IMO

hmmm.. i think its possible. in cincinnatti, where i used to live there was this kid who drove an Si around. well, one day i conveniently saw him at the track. that night i witnessed this little orange coupe run a 12.47 on street tires. it was one of the most amazing things i have seen! it blew the doors off an 02 cobra. i loved every second of it. i hope to break into the 12's atleast once within a year or so. so wish me luck, and thanks for replying to this post.

If you do this you might get more hp out of a boost kit...

B20B bottom end = more torque (talk to calesta on this one)
go to www.slowboyracing.com they have turbo kits for the b16, small turbos but hey its a start...not bad prices for kits...

but they dont specialize in hondas, they do DSM's

If he ran 12.47 on street tires, he's running WAY more than 8psi.
