I will be recieving a Drag Gen 3 kit for my 99 Integra Gs, with the b18b motor. The kit comes with:
RC 370cc injectors
Vortec fmu
Spearco front mount intercooler
all piping
down pipe
tial wastegate
HKS bov
custom inlet pipe for turbo
oil feed and return
autometer boost and oil pressure gauges
I know it comes with the vortec FMU, but I was just thinking about using a more precise management, Like maybe a SAFCII, I would like a hondata s200, but I don't have that much money. I was just wondering what all of you guys would suggest to do, or just run with the vortec fmu and call it good.

Run the FMU as it is, and save for a Hondata.

These kits give you the injectors to handle extra flow, FMU to expedite fuel, but you have to keep some things in mind. Fuel pump. Get it. Any type of inline fuel pump will due with capacity over 255....and I keep on saying this, BEWARE walboro 255 fuel pumps. Many a horror story have been told of shotty engineering and the inevitable breakdown when you need it most.....its cheap plain and simple. go to any sr20det forum and ask....this advice is legit. braided lines would be nice....so would a head cover of solid gold. Upgrade your fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator and if you want to go the extra mile, a fuel pressure gauge in-bay would be especially nice, functional, and get the ladieeee... I dont think they'd notice...but they damn well should. point is to open the fuel path as much as possible to the beckon of boost. That is ESENTIAL to engine management. Dial up the boost, dont have the fuel flow to meet the demand of combustion air/fuel....need I say more. Along with Igniton, spark advance and the like, you should be alright for the electronic management. Now, people say haltech, aem, motec, hondata, supermodels....all these things are nice....but not what you need. The main reason for these big-wig stand alone engine management systems is mainly because when you get into the 3-400 H.P. range, the variables involved, either by the ecu, boost control, spark advance/retardation, fuel flow, air flow etc. need to be altered to a suit your application. Going with the standard s-afc, with its multi-tier air/fuel feed levels. MSD igniton will take care of your spark problems, and a simple boost controller will handle the rest. Now, Engine managent have an awsome array of extra options anyone would want to have (knock sensors, boost, etc.)...and unless you are diving into the 3-400 range, get a stand alone system. If you are not...you really dont need one...but it would be nice. Remember air/fuel/fire. keep these elements in synergy...you'll be alright.

Yeah, I knew about needing a fuel pump I just forgot to ask what anyone would suggest for one. I was looking at the 255, but I wasn't sure, I kind of am leaning towards inline. Any suggestions for this?

In-line is always a good option in adition to in-tank factory pumps, or even aftermarket...but thats overkill. In a standard honda, an in-line secondary fuel pump is always good. I'm a fan of Nos pumps....these have very good response ad consistency, and withhold the stress of a sudden load of work many times over... they keep on tickin'. borderline expensive and moderately hard to find, they are worth the money, however. They come insulated and everything.

By the way the new SAFC-II features the knock sensor that you were speaking of john. Check out the article on www.importtuner.com look under the tech pages and do a search for it. Very Thorough!
