on a stock b20.. how much boost can it handle.. i know they dont recomend going past 7-8 psi on a stock motor.. but i am under the impression that includes the internals.. but what can the sleeve itself handle.. say i get some aftermarket pistons and rods can i up the boost safely.. i know fuel management and upgradeing the head internals etc. etc.. i am stirctly talking about the sleeves..
any help??

dont quote me on this, but i BELIEVE they say around 12-14 psi the sleeves will start to give out on you. (of course, it all really depends on cfm, not psi, but supposedly its ~14 'psi'.)

Thats some bad info there. On most honda blocks a good PSI would be around 12-14 but the b20 is different. They have very weak sleeves. I have seen b20 sleeves crack on 5 psi. Your best bet is to get the block sleeved by a company like benson or something. Fact is that b20 sleeves do not like boost. Be carefull. I personally would not run over 6 LBS on b20 stock sleeves.

You hear a lot of things, and that is total utter BULLSHIT. B20s can handle boost just fine, as long as you tune them right (just like any other engine). They're not made out of glass, you know.

a friend of mine has been running 8 psi, fine for as long as i can remember. like calesta said, just has to be done right.
