if you want serious tuning data, go here.....http://www.pgmfi.org/

friggin awesome site. theres plenty of info there about engine tuning. even info on free programs that do the same as hondata. such as, turboedit, ghettodyne, chrome, to name a few.

and for retail tuning, there plenty out there if you can afford them....hondata, greddy e-manage, AEM ems i think its called, HKS, Apexi, all those companies have a product to tune a turbo or supercharged engine.

the greddy e-manage is a great device, and when linked with the profec e-01, its a very well balanced unit, as well as hassle free (dont have to use the computer every time you want to make corrections) It all depends on what your power plant can handle. If your engine is fairly stock and you keep it in the low .8 Bar area, get the S-Afc II. Multifunction, multi-point programable fuel curve and air flow adjustable. Its good, reliable when tuned porperly, and alright in price range. When you do start going ito your fuel systems though, remember the pump, the lines, the rail, the regulator, the filter, the injectors. Your fuel system is only as good as you supporting hardware. Push fuel though a system intended to flow less than it can handle, and the repercusions (fuel/pressure surge, etc.) will result.

The greddy e manage is nothing. you can control fuel at 5 points. Go hondata...you will be a lot happier and its much more powerful.

vafc, safc, greddy emanage, blue box, and the edelbrock black box I think it's called are all piggy back fuel computers.........

hondata is a rip off......it's basically a bug free better marketed version of the freeware programs you can find online..crome..uberdata..turboedit.. etc. those are all chips for your honda ecu.

standalone are the most expensive...there's the AEM EMS..ZDYNE something (It's only for obd-0)..Haltech somehting (they are an austrailian company).....Not too sure about those.

You get what you pay for but you always don't need the best. No sense in buying stand alone for low boost on stock internals

PS Don't listen to that guy kansai spoon, you are tempting death by running .8 bar with an S-AFC. Not only is the map input to your ECU on the verge of showing boost, your ignition timing is so advanced that you'll be detonating unless you have an MSD btm or you manually retard your distrubutor..Greddy emanage sucks ass, tons of people get map codes at wide open throttle due to some bugs....In case you didn't know....when a honda ECU sees boost from your MAP sensor it shits a brick.....I believe much like it cuts gas when you hit the rev limiter..and potentially shuts off.

What are you talking about.. Your thinking of just the very basics the emanage can do..

Stolen from website about emanage

Additional features that are built into the system, but are only accessible though the use of the Greddy PC-Windows based "E-Manage Support Tool" communication software is a 16x16 Airflow Adjustmemt Map, Larger Main Injector correction adjustment, Upgraded Air Flow Meter adjustment, Boost Limiter Cut, Anti-engine Stall, VTEC-fuel adjustment, Real-time Map Trace, Real-time Display, Real-time Communication, and basic Data-logging.

With the use of Greddy's "Optional Injector Harness" and the software, the unit has the ability to control an additional 16x16 Injector duty cycle Map and the Controls for adding up to 2 Addional Sub-injectors. If the "Optional Ignition Harrness" and the software is used the unit has the ability to control a 16x16 Ignition Timing Map. All of the above Maps can also be Map-traced in Real-time as well. If the factory range of Map or Airflow meter is surpassed, you can incorporate the "Optional Pressure Sensor and Pressure Sensor Harness" to set larger scales of adjustment.
..
*****************************************
that being said
I'll say hondata can be tuned better... because it can do both fuel and timeing maps.

but i still have only ever seen one car that had a half decent tune with the hondata..

The emanage will still let the ecu make fuel corrections for partial throttle.. Thats something you have to actually tune into the hondata, but noone ever takes the time to do it right.
