Im so sick of being a slow poke and I want a quick fix of atleast something. My best option besides saving for month's on end(which i've already started a fund a few months ago) or getting a nother car I think would be nos(please correct me if im wrong). Mini Me is out of the question because I read too many horror story's and im no mechanic.
I've got the big y7. So would I be wasting my time even doing nos? So should I stay away, or go blow some shit up(being my motor)? lol Any and all imput wanted! |

if you wanna go nitrous, look into a zex system. the "smart" system does all the adjusting and fine tuning, so that you dont go too rich or lean. supposedly it's an easy bolt on for those less mechanically inclined

anyway, what else have you done to the car. that would be a good determining factor in what you should do to the car first, second factor is budget and how much you are willing to pay to go faster. 3rd, would be whether or not you like your car enough to do these mods to it. can you fill me in on these details.

I really like the Zex dry setups for fairly stock cars. If you have a decent amount of mods done (manifold, cams, etc.) I would rather do a wet system to ensure a better a/f while spraying. The mini-me is a sweet way to go if you do the work yourself, but might not be worth it if you pay a shop to have it done. I did a mini-me over a year and a half ago and he has yet to have a slight problem from it.

Under a 75 shot, Zex dry kit is the best out there. Over that, direct port is the way to go.

not trying to be a dick, but NOS is a brand, (a shitty brand in my oppinion). I dont think that you should be toying with nitrous, unless you want to be buying a new engine/car anytime soon. Just remember "Just because YOU NEED NOS" "Ametures dont use nitrouse oxcide... You'll blow yourself to pieces..."
hehe, if you know someone that can help you out with the install and tell you whatsup you should be safe... just dont drive like a dick and everything should be cool. |
