heres the deal. this kid wants to buy a set of rims i have. i told him $400 and its a deal. he called me today and asked if $200 and a T3 turbo with 700 miles on it would be alright. i agreed TO LOOK AT IT tonite. i know to look for shaft play, but whatelse do i look at? i am skeptical because he said it was his friends, and he took it off because his gas mileage got really shitty. tell me what i need to look at so i dont get scammed. thank you very much in advance.

Are you really willing to give up $200 for a T3? I have seen them cheaper on ebay. Do you think you can get more parts out of it?

alright. i ended up looking on ebay for them. the turbo looks like it has never been used. very very minimal shaft play. all turbine fins are mint. not a spec of rust on the thing. you cant even tell it was bolted up to a manifold or anything. i did infact find them on ebay going for $100. so i just told the kid that cash would be better. i would probably never use the turbo anyways. and if i couldnt get more than $200 for it, forget about it. i think that if i ever go forced induction, a jrsc would do me just fine. the less maintanence the better in my case. thank you for all your replies though. if anyone wants to buy a garrett T3 turbo, let me know. thanks
