depends on what you want...a swap my make more hp or the turbo may make more hp. or a swap with turbo will make more hp. you need to set some goals. how much hp you want to make. how much you want to spend. a turbo single cam would be a great idea, however a turbo dual cam is my preference. all depends on how far you wanna go.

personally if i were you, i would build the kit myself, however if your not so inclined to do that, my preference would be either a drag kit, or a full race kit. i dont like the edelbrock kit, or the greddy kit, they make fine power but with little room for improvement. Personally i would peice together a kit, get hondata(with boost), and do it that way. then you dont have to worry bout fmu's and everything like that.
I could help you peice together a kit, because i have the ability to get any turbo part you need. just let me know what you wanna do.

As long as your engine is good shape and you have good tuning, you don't need to build it up internally if you don't want to. There are plenty of people putting down 200-220whp on totally stock internal D16Y8 engines on boost. It's all about the tuning.

yea i figured if i run low psi n with good tunning i wouldnt have to worrie about it. but it is a good idea because i dont wanna end up dumping three grand into turbocharging my d n then somthing go wrong. but i read about sportcompactcar turbocharging a d16y8. it eventually failed due to a faulty wastegate making the car run on about 20 psi instead of 6. but still i think if i where to boost my d16 n run about 7 9 psi i would do internals.
