It all depends on your budget and horsepower goals.
The only thing shitty about the turbonetics kits were the deltagate wastegates due to boost creep, turbonetics has since improved their wastegates. The DRAG manifold also contributes to boost creep because of the wastegate placement on only 1 runner on the manifold. |

Go greddy.....or Edelbrock if you have the $$ to put up.....My kit isn't completely custom....It's just the base greddy kit with an APEXI FMIC and different fuel management (AFC HACK)..
If I could have done things over I would have just purchased an edelbrock kit. |

Custom all the way. I currently have a Garrett T04 out of a junkyard Saab, and I'm trying to locate an intercooler from something like a Mitsubishi Fuso hauling truck. I can fit it cause I'm gonna rip out the a/c. I also just have to get a "missing link" and a fuel computer. Other than that some pipes here and there and a used BOV, some Talon/Eclipse DSM injectors and I'm under $600. Screw kits, because all they're doing is some research on what to put together, and getting various components. Most companies don't make one part in the kit that you're buying. It's almost like you're paying them to tell you what to buy, except they give you the stuff after they select it.

If you have a D series just go online and check out the kit that edlebrock makes for it. Take a look at the specs of each component that they offer with it, and then go find the individual parts with the same specs. It's supposed to be a really good kit, so just mimic it. $500-$700 instead of $3000!
