Here is my current car setup:
96 civic EX coupe (D16Y8), its an automatic with 80,000 miles current engine mods installed: AEM-cold air intake Greddy EVO II-cat back DC Sports 4-2-1-Header I just bought a Jackson racing supercahrger with the Stage 1 boost kit. I know that the Jackson supercharger is not the best but I bought the kit NEW from a friend for very very cheap and I was only looking to add a little more power to my daily driver. I have some questions. 1) I also bought an AEM fuel rail. Should I put it on or is there no need for it. Also if Ido put on the fuel rail should I put on some high flow fuel injectors? If so which ones would people recomend and what size? 2)Given the mileage on my car already should I upgrade any of the internals in my engine before I put on the Boost kit. I believe the boost kit allows it to run at 8psi or should I just leave it at the 6psi without the boost kit? 3)Last question, Is there anything else that I should upgrade once I install the supercharger? Thanks for you help in advance. |

6 psi is fine on stock internals, even 8 psi is fine. but to be safe do internals they will give u more power though in the long run. but my personal opinion man, sell everything u got and go with a swap. ull get less miles and about the same amount of power, but ull be getting a new engine and tranny.

Run the 8psi kit, but get it tuned on a dyno. I'd get some larger injectors and a hondata.

Definitely get some larger injectors and tune with Hondata. You'll get the most power, best reliability, and best fuel economy with proper tuning. I would recommend 310cc injectors for your setup. RC Engineering is good but expensive- Precision makes good injectors for about half the price. Sell your AEM fuel rail to get more cash.
![]() You don't really need to upgrade the internals of your engine at all to run 8psi on a JRSC. They'll hold up just fine. Just make sure to get it all tuned properly on a dyno with a wideband. |

even with 310's, you might want to go with a 4:1 fmu and a vafc. That would be a decent way to go.

for a while i was thinking about gettin a jr supercharger for my si, before it got wrecked. this is what i got from the research i did. first off internals arent necessary but with ur mileage i would recommend it. second go with hondata for all ur ecu needs. they work perfect with jr stuff. third put in the fuel rail, larger injectors, and a better fuel pump. the boost kit is def the way to go. ull get a lil more power with the same amount of reliability. i say go with it man. car would be sweet. not the most powerful but sweet non the less.
