Secondly. I am looking into getting a turbo for my 99 Si, and I was wondering of which brand or kind to get, and where would the best place to get them would be. I want a decent one, so when I saw the GReddy kits they were selling on Ebay for like $1300, I am a little weary of those. Plus they dont come with an intercooler. Does anyone know if one of these kits would be respectable to buy?

Greddy makes an excellent kit. Everything you need is included, down to the last fitting. All the parts are high quality, and fit perfectly the way they should...no fabrication necessary. They use a slightly smaller turbo than say Drag/Revhard kits, but it still makes good power, and spools quickly...not much turbo lag at all.

As for buying off of Ebay, as long as the seller is legit (check feedback) it should be all good. If it was me, I'd probably just buy it from someone in person, or a shop, etc. A little bit more $, but worth my peace of mind.

I would go with the Greddy kit also, less hastle. But u'll also need an IC,boost guage and the all important EGT guage. The only problem with the Greddy kit is the manifold only accepts Mitsubishi turbos. So if u decided to go with a bigger turbo and keep the manifold it's going to be a mitsubishi turbo.

and i can put together a kit for you if you don't wanta prefab kit. Pretty much any turbo you want, any size, and style. Yes... you can get a ballbearing t-25. wouldn't suggest it though
something like a t3/t4 ballbearing
or a t-28
quick to spool

ive read on carreview.com that the greddy kit is a decent kit, but compared with the T3/T4 the garrett turbo drops off in power because of its size.. ive read that its a tradeoff. it spools quickly, but you cant make as big of power at high rpms like you can with the T3/T4. i believe the T3/T4 is a ballbearing turbo too, so it will spool quickly. so from what i understand reading (dont hold anything against me, i read like a 5 year old) the more "complete" kit would be the Drag turbo kits. they are a little more expensive than the greddy, but they come with damn near everything. (even an intercooler!)
