he wasnt talking about boost maps..he was talking about the compressor maps of the turbo...it has to do with how much flow the turbo is putting out.

I didn't buy the turbo thinking it was going to make 550whp, It came with the car and I ran out of money so I decided to run it. A shop told me it was capable of that after I sent them the specs, but obviously not. So I didn't really lose anything, but I didn't get what I wanted either.
Ah, I see. Learn how to read compressor maps, then figure out for yourself what the power potential should be. Then you can choose the right size turbo when you have more cash.[/b]
Yes I know, I'd love to learn that. But as far as I know a sc61 or sc34 will be fine for my application and are both capable of 500+whp so I'm going to go with on of those. I'm only planning to hit somewhere over 400whp so those will be fine, and if I ever do upgrade they should still hold out fine.

I guess I'll know soon enough, I got the car running and I need to focus on some other things for the time being.

GT28RS...disco potato
WTF how could you compare the two??!
the sc61 is huge and I would not reccomend on a d16... the powerband comes in WAY too late

it sounds like you're running a d series based on the numbers you're giving..
are you running a stock block?
400 whp is far fetched with the r+s ratio on a d series...
