if your main concern is hp and you want reliability swap it with a higher end motor. IMO you really dont sound like you know what you want.
greddy has a good kit |

Boost it man...I have been boosted for around 6-7 months and is a great feeling and have not had any problems so far..For the same money i couldve bought an ITR swap i boosted my car and i can pull hard on B series swapped Hondas..
Last Saturday i just ran 12.4 sec at the trac on a Sohc non Vtec.. Atleast IMO i have not regret it and has been worth every penny

just swap it. you can get an ls swap for like 6 - 800 for everything then boost it with a homemade kit for another 8 - 1000. Do it right , and only once. Remeber no matter what setup you go with tuning is your friend. other wise you'll be replacing pistons / rings and the least.

go with a rev hard kit..better parts, and much more quality. i personally dont like greddy kits cause they use mitsu turbos. That means in order to upgrade the turbo..you gotta switch manifolds. the edelbrock uses a garret t28 which is still the small flange...so you would have to do the same thing. the rev hard kits use a small t3/t4 hybrid so its easier to upgrade later if you want to. you can use re-sized ls rods if your looking for a cheaper route than buying aftermarket...but my personal opinion is to get the parts before you need them...that way you dont have to do it later. nw i know thats not always an option so i can understand where your coming from. If you need any more help...pm me or hit up this thread and ill help you out. i dont think i know everything i just like to give people the right idea before they go out and spend bunches of money and start breaking things.(figured id get that out so im not stepping on anyones toes.)
