Hey I was looking around, and i wanna start buying parts to build my turbo setup. I stumbled upon this:

- RC 550s in good working order. 180$ shipped

That seems like a hella deal to me, BUT the question is, will i ever need injectors that big ? AND does it always dump that much fuel into the engine, or does the ECU adjust it fairly low. I mean would i just run my engine extremely rich, and not be worth it unless i had a whole lotta boost ??

not sure if this link works try it
550 injectors
or if anyone else would like the injectors...

550cc is a big injector..

Questions to ask yourself:
what motor will you be working with?
what kinda power do u plan on making?
or basically what psi do u foresee pushing?
what kind of fuel management do you plan on using? (stand-alone? afc?)
what turbo do u plan to use?

theres soo many other factors for what injectors you will want to get.. start with these questions to get you on your way.

that is an excellent price for 550's though

Big injectors withouth bigger fuel pump = No No..
U should get both.

Good fuel delivery is one of the most imp things when turboing..Thats where most motors blow, cause of poor fuel management.

Thanks alot for the responses :

AND more than likely a b20 block hopefully built up internally
- i would like to boost about 12-14 daily, and 20 psi for track runs
- i was still thinking about the t3/t4 combo, or should i go bigger ?

- I would definately get a larger fuel pump and pressure regulator, etc., thats obvious

I'm just trying to pick up parts now to put it all together, or at least get a really good plan of what parts i want to get, thanks.

I could build you one of those b20 if you want I got great hookups for parts. Sounds like your a fan of power. Bseries is the way to go.Im building 2.0 ls for my race car for methenol, havent decided on boost or not,Im leaning to N/a tho. That is good price for 550s.

That is a killer deal, are you planning on running an FMU or a standalone system for fuel manegment? If your only boosting 10-12 PSI i would just run an FMU for now unless you are using some sort of EMS.

crvtec... or just the crv motor boosted?
and in what car?
remember.. sometimes a big turbo will just not fit.. unless you are really determined and make it fit

That's not true. I've seen 720's run on a stock Honda fuel pump and an AEM EMS, at 20 lbs of boost. With a close to stock fuel pressure, the Honda pumps are fine. The problem with them is when people run them with an FMU. They can't keep up and flow enough volume at the extremely elevated pressures of the FMU. If you're running an FMU, better get a good inline fuel pump.

As for getting the injectors, I would just save your money. Put it in your turbo fund, and when you get enough money buy everything you need at once. By then you'll have a good idea of what you want in terms of parts, and goals for the car. Anyways, you wouldn't be able to use the 550's until you get some form of electronic fuel management, IE AFC or a stand alone engine management system.
