I just curious as are they ment to reinforce sleeved block as extra safety measure or can be used independently? If independently what are they good till with what piston ...

They are meant to reinforce blocks with OEM sleeves. I'm not sure what you mean by piston ratios....

a lot of sleeving companies use block gaurds in their sleeved blocks...some integrate them into the sleeves. the point is to stabalize the top of the sleeve...they can be used by themselves just make sure you get the block honed before you use it...cause it can sometimes out of round the sleeves when you tap them in.

Ok thanks for answering question. I was just wondering if where ment as mid way sleevin block or what...On ratio's I was reffering to total pressure they are good at...static pressure or whatever called. So if can be used independently how much stronger do they make for say a b18

honestly...not worth it...they dont make it substantially stronger for me to justify the amount of money...but it will stabalize the sleeves and make it less likely to move the sleeve under boost, which can happen, but ive only seen it happen on high boost motors.

Ok thanks...I am leaning towards dart block sense I have found one for decent price. But Basicly its just ment as added security not as stand alone.
