Alright long story short I have a 91 civic with a b16 tjat I bought from a friend well it has a loud vibration noise at 3,000 rpm up to abou 5,000 I just thought it was the az racing motor mounts and something touching the frame somewhere like the exhaust didnt really investegate it yet but I just put 300 miles on my other 91 civic turbo d16z6 i completely built it besides sleeves, any way it has started to do the same thing.i know it is hard to explain the noise but imagine a vibration you can feel and here in the upper rpms.I have only gotten in boost about 4 times and that was after 250 miles and only 10 pounds. Please any reply would be great suggestions.same experiences.oh motor runs great the compression is 185 across the cylinders.

what exactly do you mean...generally a vibration is from mounts or something rubbing...if its in the motor...i dont know what to tell you.

christ could be anything.. cat vibrating on the heat sheild (had this issue) muffler vibrating.. (these only happen to me at certain rpms or certain amount of shake i get on like a cold start or something.. dont think anything you could feel would be vibrating in your motor.. doesnt sound like motor mounts either but i could be wrong..

Are you sure it's a vibration? If it's more of like a loud squeaking noice it could be your power steering pump. Or your belt could be lose.

no...trust me, you will know if its bearing noise...its very distinctive...it does not sound like a vibration...Ive had mixed acls in mine for almost 2 years now...i run the standard mains with the race rods...no probs...no bearing failure.

Well I appreciate the replys I think it might be where I have bolted my piping to my frame with no insulators. But my b16 has no piping so I don't know what the noise is on it.Could a tranny make a vibration?just asking.I have seen alot of trannys make beariong noise and whining noise, but never a vibration unless a gear was missing teeth.
