Sounds like a headgasket or a thermostat problem to me. Replace the thermostat which is alot cheaper and you can pretty much do it yourself. And if that doesnt fix it then replace your headgasket. I wouldnt drive on it too much, if your headgasket goes too much you could possibly crack some of your pistons if coolant leaks into your clyinders. Air is compressed alot better than water.

wait...does it ever actually overflow the reservoir? or does it just kinda get high? theres a big difference. i know on my car...if i blow a headgasket...which ive done only once thank god...it sprayed coolant severly from the overflow..but then again that was at 21 lbs of boost. One other thing i noticed..when i went to battle of the imports, my fan wasnt turning on, and i thought i had a blown hg because the reservoir was filling up...check and see if your fan is coming on.

i havent had it actually shoot out yet or anything but it does get higher and higher. I take some coolant out and by 30 min later driving it moves up and inch (coolant does) And it keeps doing that until i take some out of the resevior. My fan does come on. A lot of white smoke comes out exhaust and in my resevior it keeps rising and i always have to add coolant into the rad. Also some times when i turn my car off i hear like a wssshhhing noise down by my passenger feet area( that side of the engine) and it sounds like coolant or somenthing being pushed out? ...........

Just a word of advice if you plan on getting the most out of your trade in, your gonna want to put a stock replacement in that car. So if you have a y8 put a y8 back in it.

dealership wont even know. Im using as many parts from my y8 that i can. Dealership doesnt even open the hood they just drive car down the road make sure it drives good. Sometimes they dont even do that. I dunno my dad traded in vehicle and they just looked out the window and shot us a price..... So im gonna try to sell it our right for few months and if that doesnt work im gonna trade it in on a 2006 scion tc. And im gonna start working on my lil bros hatch he is about to buy. Thanks for all the help.
