cant you just take the manifold to a muffler shop and have the cut the "plate" off with like a plasma cutter or something? then use BOLTS to put it on your manifold (assuming you're going with an hf manifold)...

Bwahahahahahahahahaha

OK I'll be serious now. First off to use a plasma welder on your headers would be a mistake. You would never be able to get an accurate enough cut to keep the length of the manifold pipes the sames as OEM. Than you will have to have someone weld on your 12 year old rusted out header. Do yourself a favor and go to the junk yard and get header from an CX civic. Than have someone make an adapter plate for your turbo.

You do realize that your in for a world of hurt getting this installed don't you.

someone else's wise words
Fast/Reliable/Cheap
you can only have two

if this is going to work and work well, its not gonna be for a grand.

granted, im doing a full rebuild on my motor, but im pushing 10K for the entire setup (motor, rebuild, accessories and such) actually im probably well over 10K. but anyway.

If you meant something different than what you typed, than that's not my fault. I can only go by whats on this thread. The little thoughts bouncing in your head don't count.

i never said cut the manifold off...i said cut the ADAPTOR PLATE off of the manifold and get either the HF, CX, VX or 96+ DX manifolds...THEN, he can go and have holes drilled in the ADAPTOR PLATE to bolt it to his new manifold...you interpreted me saying cut the headers apart, correct? Yet what i wrote says nothing about that...what it DOES say is, "cut the PLATE off"...
