hi all,
i have a question. how much fuel pressure is needed or usual for a boosted engine? how much are most of you running?

It depends on your fuel setup. Larger injectors will require lower fuel pressure, which in turn reduces the amount of strain put on the fuel pump. This increases the volumetric efficiency of the pump, and won't cause the pump to heat up the fuel. Using an FMU in a turbo setup creates extremely high fuel pressures, which in turn makes the pump work harder. When the pump works harder, it loses efficiency, and flows less volume at higher pressures...this is not good.
For a given setup, the static fuel pressure can only be tuned on a dyno.
