Well guys about 2 years ago i boosted my car and experimented with my d16 by putting Suzuki vitara pistons on it to boost it.
Some of you might remember and im sure that in these last 2 years you have heard/read in other forums about it. This was an idea i introduced to the USA guys and its something that has been done here in Puerto Rico for many years(more than 5 years). At first no one gave me credit and people thought that becasue this is not a Forged piston, that they would break fast. 2 years after and more than 200 sets sold gives me the right to say that some of those ppl were wrong. I am glad to anounce that these pistons have already produced 452whp and over 300lbs/ft on boosted d16 engines. There are currently 2 street d16 setups that are running in the 10's. Here is the setup that has most HP out of it. Its a D16z6 engine 75mm YCP vitarapistons (stock bore) and stock sleeves T3/t4 57 trim turbo @ 30 psi Dyno was made in 4th gear Car(1992 eg) is driven to the track and from the track...no towing ![]() This car with 404whp and a smaller powerband already ran 10.97 @ 130mph... now it should go deeper into the 10's There is another setup with 442whp and 323lbs/ft that ran 10.83 @ 133mph Pretty impressive for a 130 dollar piston These pistons have become the way to go and the best bang for your buck when it turns out to boost d15/d16 engines.
