Heres a great write up on engine detailing.
*******I did not write this article, all credit goes to BrineSI, this article was taken from the Forums on Club SI [www.clubsi.com] ![]() 1. Make sure engine is cool: Cover distributor and battery with plastic 2. Use garden hose to rinse off engine bay. 3. Spray a liberal amount of simple green spray over all hoses, containers etc., everything that's not covered. 4. Get shop rags and gently wipe all the parts down (don't forgot on the underside of your hood) 5. Rinse all parts off. 6. Get black magic aresol can and lightly mist over engine bay and under hood. 7. Dry off excess Black Magic with shop rags and wipe down any spots you missed with the same rag which will make all hoses etc. a new black color. 8. Let dry in an area out of the sun. 9. Buy two 22's of Sam Adams for a job well done... |
