Well from what mikie says hub assemblies aren't always symmetrical so if you have a tight set of rims to fit on and they rub this is what you do (or one way to take care of the problem).
Warning if your not comfortable with tools and doing stuff dont try this I'm not responsible if your brakes fail and you careen into a tree. Tools needed: Jack Jack Stand Lug wrench Files (see explanation) Rotary Drill Bit (see explanation) Wizzy Wheel Wax crayon or marker or something 3 beers (see explanation) 1) Ok so you have your tools jack the car up and take off the wheel. (Note JaydeeM rotors from not being driven in 3 months) 2) Start filing try to stay flat against the caliper bracket. File for a while.. then when you get tired say FUCK IT and put the wheel back on cause the shit isn't working.. go have a beer 3) Once you go to the hardware store and get the rotary file for your cordless drill repeat step 1 and begin to go at it again. 4) Once you go at that for awhile and you realize your POS drill is loosing it's balls, throw your drill put your wheel back on, and say FUCK IT cause the shit isn't working.. go have beer #2 5) Put your stock wheel back on the particular trouble spot and Go to your friends shop and get your shelf a power sander or "wizzy wheel" and begin to take out aggression. NOTE!!! BE VERY CAREFUL! do not stay in one place at any time. You will be sorry.. 6) Once your go at it for a bit and your getting close take a wax marker or something and color the shit out of the bracket. Like so: 7) Put the wheel back on carefully not to scratch the crayon, spin it a few times then take it back off. Observe where the marks are gone and focus the rest of your efforts in these area's. 8) Repeat steps 6 and 7 as needed. 9) Put wheel back on and take it for a test drive. Once your back crack open the third beer your done. |

We here at Civicland do NOT advocate working with power tools or driving while consuming alcoholic beverages or while under the influence of alcohol or other recreational drugs. Please work and drive safely at all times, and always watch out for the welfare of your fellow humans when in a public area.

(note this drinking beer method is best done when you dont actually have to go anywhere when you crack the beer open cause your car is pretty much stuck until you break down your pride put the stealie on and drive to your friends shop)
