Hmm Which Car Would Be Faster?

would a 98 dodge neon 2.0 R/T manual, superchaged with a 50 shot of nitrous be faster than a 91 civic dx B16A swap with I/H/E and some other small misc shit in a 1/4 mile?

I would have to say the Neon. Without spray it could be a decent race, but with the 50hp shot, he should take you without a problem.

way way faster if was true. but check under that hood. i'm 95% sure there isn't a supercharger for the neon in production.

it would probably have to be some kinda' dodge/chrys. supercharged V6 swap.

take some pics of what's going on under the hood if you get to check out the car.

my gramps bought the car for my cousin. He also claims that he bought the nitrous and the supercharger for him to. It just pisses me off he doesnt have to work for any of it. anyway I'll beat it prob next summer when my cars ready.

my thoughts are if it's an R/T w/ a 50 shot and no supercharger he will still be faster. but if he is going to lie about the SC (not saying he is) he would probably lie about the nitrous too.

I think you should go after him now, simply because the compression ratio in the R/T neons is really high so IF he's boosted and spraying he should make it to the 1/8th or maybe a full 1/4 once before detonation destroys anything that resembles a motor. If I remember from my Dodge car selling days the comp. is 11.5:1. I guess he could avoid this by using really high octane fuel, but from the sounds of thingshe doesn't work for anything so he probably would have to call daddy for that too.
